How Much Does PRESBYOND® Cost?

If you are over 40, you may have purchased your first pair of reading glasses. At this age, most people start to have trouble reading and other close-up tasks. PRESBYOND® restores clear vision at all distances. This procedure lets you enjoy reading and other activities more clearly and comfortably.

What is PRESBYOND®?

PRESBYOND® is a type of laser vision correction designed to treat presbyopia. Almost everyone over the age of 40 will develop presbyopia, a condition where the lenses harden and cannot flex enough to accommodate up-close vision. PRESBYOND® treats this condition by customizing the vision correction for each eye to give you blended vision that works at any distance.

How Much Does PRESBYOND® Cost?

Your cost for PRESBYOND® will depend on several factors, including your location, the skill and experience of your surgeon, and the details of your procedure. For an accurate estimate, we recommend scheduling a consultation and vision assessment. We will take this opportunity to determine whether you are a good candidate for PRESBYOND® and how much you can expect it to cost. Keep in mind that PRESBYOND® is an advanced vision correction procedure, so take your eye surgeon’s reputation and qualifications into account.

Am I a Good Candidate for PRESBYOND®?

Only a full vision assessment can determine whether you will benefit from PRESBYOND®. Most candidates for PRESBYOND® are over 40 and have started to develop age-related hardening of the lenses. PRESBYOND® works for 97% of people with presbyopia, even those with astigmatism. People with certain eye conditions or thin corneas may not be good candidates.

How Does PRESBYOND® Work?

PRESBYOND® uses excimer laser technology to reshape your corneas. These adjustments to the cornea change the angle of light entering your eye. During PRESBYOND®, your eye surgeon customizes a separate procedure for each eye. As a result, you have strong distance vision and significantly improved close vision. During the procedure, a laser creates a flap in the outer layer of each cornea, letting the excimer laser access the corneal tissue. The ability to improve vision across the entire range sets PRESBYOND® apart from procedures like LASIK to treat presbyopia.

What is Recovery Like After PRESBYOND®?

The flap created during PRESBYOND® begins to heal immediately after the procedure. You may find that you can read more clearly within just 24 hours. You can usually return to work and other daily activities within a few days. Since your way of focusing light has changed, your brain will need some time to adapt to these changes. This process takes place gradually over a few weeks to a few months.

I absolutely loved my experience with VisionMax. They have the most incredible staff, from start to finish they were so helpful and informative! I was nervous and Dr.Senekal talked me through the whole procedure, making me feel so comforted. It was over before I knew it (quite literally)! I cannot recommend going to VisionMax enough!
