Dr. Daniel Senekal

Dr. Daniel Senekal is passionate about refractive eye surgery, as it “opened” his eyes to this life-changing specialty when he got his own laser procedure performed 25 years ago. It was the beginning for him of a whole new world without glasses and contact lenses. 

Dr. Senekal was a Family Physician at the time and played rugby and competed in mixed martial arts. The freedom he found without glasses and contact lenses had such an enormous impact on his lifestyle that he decided to pursue this extraordinary career. 

He qualified with distinction from the University of the Free State in South Africa 20 years ago and was awarded the Academic Roll of Honour for his achievements during his post-graduate Master’s degree in Ophthalmology. He then went on to further his studies in Bremen, Germany, and later received the Advanced Post-Graduate Diploma in Cataract and Refractive Surgery from the University of Ulster, Northern Ireland with distinction.

Dr. Senekal has dedicated his whole career to advancing and perfecting visual outcomes with vision-correcting procedures. He has built an impeccable reputation amongst his colleagues and patients due to his drive for perfection and the outstanding surgical and visual results he achieves.
